Un’edizione commemorativa molto speciale per celebrare i 70 anni di regno di Elisabetta II.

L’album raccoglie una selezione di musiche dalla trasmissione radiofonica originale della BBC durante l’incoronazione di Sua Maestà la Regina Elisabetta II, presso l’Abbazia di Westminster il 2 giugno 1953. Include grandi classici come “Zadok the priest” di Handel, “O taste and see” di Vaughan Williams, oltre a una struggente versione dell’inno nazionale britannico, “God Save the Queen”.

La copertina riproduce il ritratto fotografico ufficiale dell’incoronazione realizzato da Cecil Beaton, su uno sfondo goticheggiante che caratterizzava l’artwork dell’edizione originale HMV del 1953 in 3LP.

L’audio è stato rimasterizzato in HD a 192kHz/24-bit dai nastri originali, anche in Dolby Atmos, da Art & Son Studio.
